Are the magnetic buckles secure?

Yes. The magnets help the buckles find each other, but the harness is not held closed by magnets alone. Once connected, each buckle mechanically locks into place.

The magnetic buckles are rated for 150 lb+ pull force, and the harness is designed so normal walking tension is not placed directly on the buckle release direction. Like any walking gear, check the harness regularly for wear and replace it if damaged.

How to put on the harness?

Slip your dog’s head through the front opening of the harness.
Reach under their belly and bring the chest strap around.
Guide the chest strap close to the buckle—our magnetic system will pull it into place and snap itself securely.
Adjust the straps so you can fit two fingers comfortably between the harness and your dog’s body. This ensures an optimal fit: snug, but not too tight.

Really great dog harness!

This harness is very different than what I'm used to but in all the most amazing ways! I love how lightweight yet sturdy and durable it feels. Putting it on is incredibly easy. Right out of the package I was able to slip it over my dog's head, adjust the neck and sides, and snap it into place for immediate use. My dog seemed very comfortable in it and didn't seem to mind it being on whatsoever. I've never seen harness like this before but hope they continue to make them as they are really great!

Incredibly Innovative Dog Harness!

We bought this harness for our 9 year old little man who hates his current harness, which is the wonder walker, and we couldn't be happier! We really like the way this fits our guy and how secure it is. In the past, he has been able to pull out of his wonder walker due to how small his legs are (Corgi legs). This particular harness goes through his front legs and then wraps around his body to snap into place with ease thanks to the magnet. When we go to take it off, you just pull up on the string and it pops off super easy. He also seems to be more comfortable with it (despite the pic) because he doesn't run away when we go to put it on him. Highly recommend getting this for your pup!

Perfect for arthritic hands.

This harness has been EXTREMELY helpful for my parents who complained that Fox’s other harness/collars was too hard to buckle/unbuckle. The magnets on the buckles make it very easy to “snap” in place without having to use any hand strength or worrying about catching skin. This harness is perfect for anyone who is needs a harness that requires less hand strength to buckle in. I had also taken a video demonstrating how easy it is to “snap” in one handed but it won’t let me upload the video, but it is pretty much like their product demo video.

Great customer service

I got me up harness about a year ago for my 70 lb Australian Shepherd, he’s super chilled and very well trained. This harness was for when we needed to walk in area where leash required. Unfortunately the harness top handle broke just about a year in ( ripped apart at the seam). Contacted Up Dog customer service and explained my situation, send them pictures and got a new replacement in no time. Thank you. Love the harness and your customer support.
