Up Dog Shop was rebranded in 2024 (previously Up Dog Toys and MUi Pet Company) with a simple mission: to make life easier for dog owners through innovative, beautifully designed pet products. The journey began with a simple sketch—an idea for a magnetic leash connection drawn on paper.

Up Dog Shop is a family-run business led by Fred, Calista, and the fluffy Samoyed, Soondubu. We feel incredibly proud every time we hear how our designs are making a difference—whether it’s keeping a pup happily occupied or helping someone with arthritis, winter hands, or pinched fingers avoid the struggle of traditional buckles. It's this kind of feedback that keeps us inspired. When we're not working, you can usually find us exploring local trails or off-leash parks with Soondubu. While the fluffy Soondubu may be our favorite four-legged friend, we truly love all animals and are grateful for the chance to support pet lovers everywhere.

Up Dog Shop was born from love, loss, and the deep desire to hold onto the beautiful memories shared with my beloved dogs, Mui and Mulan. They were more than pets—they were my best friends, constant companions who stood by me through every high and low, quietly cheering me on as I grew. After they passed, I was overwhelmed by the fear that our memories might fade with time. To keep their spirit alive, I decided to build something lasting—something that could help others cherish the moments they have with their own furry companions. Inspired by the joy, comfort, and connection Mui and Mulan brought into my life, I created MUi Pet in 2020 and in partnership with Up Dog Toys in 2021, we design modern, functional, and beautiful products that make everyday life easier and more meaningful for pet lovers.
