Now Every Bundle Helps a Rescue Pup Start Fresh

A Word from Up Dog Shop’s Founder

If you’ve been following Up Dog Shop, you know that giving back has always been part of our mission. But recently, I started asking myself: How can we make a deeper, more meaningful impact — not just on dogs’ lives, but on the people who love them too?

That reflection led me to Korean K9 Rescue, an incredible organization that rescue and rehabilitate dogs from South Korea and to place them with loving forever families in the United States. They are steadfastly committed to bringing an end to the dog meat trade forever. I knew immediately this was the right partnership — not just because of the important work they do, but because their mission hit close to home.

Years ago, while traveling abroad, I passed a restaurant with a sign promoting dog meat. My reaction was visceral — I felt sick to my stomach. That moment has stayed with me ever since. So when I came across Korean K9 Rescue’s work, I didn’t hesitate. I wanted to be part of a solution.

Starting now, for every bundle sold (2+ items), Up Dog Shop will donate one of our best-selling toys to an adopted rescue dog. I just want each of them to have something joyful and comforting to go home with — even if it’s just a simple toy, and even if it only gives them a few minutes of happiness.

Because to me, that moment of happiness matters.
